International Nurses Day (IND) is celebrated every year all around the world on 12th of May to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Florence Nightingale and to provide the Honor to the Nurses for their incredible and Honorable work. This profession is the one that requires more dedication, commitment and loyalty toward patient care. This important tribute is dedicated with great affection for all those women who chose a career in nursing. As quoted by Val Saintsbury “Nurses dispense comfort, compassion, and caring with or without even a prescription”.
Theme for the International Nurses Day in the year 2017 is “Nursing: leading voice – Better Goals achievement for Development”.
Like other institutions School of Nursing, Madinah Teaching Hospital has also arranged a “Nurses Walk” for this special day inside the campus on 12th of May, on Friday at 10:00 am. Participants of this walk including honorable Medical Superintendent, Madinah Teaching Hospial Dr Bashir Ahmad, Principle SON, Nursing Superintendent, Departmental HODs, Faculty SON, and all nursing students.
