World Oral Health Day is annually observed on March 20. The day is focused on providing awareness to the people about the importance of lifelong care of oral cavity, especially teeth and gums. Dental Section of MTH conducted a free dental camp to mark the day. Specialists doctors and BDS students actively participated in camp activities where large number of patients were treated free of cost.
In a public awareness message, Associate Prof Dr Mian Farrukh Imran, Vice Principal Dental Section UMDC advised to don’t wait to see a dentist until you have toothache. Toothache can be unbearable. It is normally caused by cavities ,decay, tooth fracture, infection or a damaged filling. He also told about the state of the art dental healthcare services available in Madinah Teaching Hospital.
