Kidney failure is a leading cause of death globally, affecting millions who often need dialysis or transplants. Pakistan has a high prevalence of kidney disease, with around 25 million people affected, and nearly every tenth person suffering from some form of it. Diabetes and hypertension account for 60-70% of these cases, while the misuse of medications without proper prescriptions also significantly harms kidney health. To reduce the mortality rate from kidney failure, there is a need to spread awareness and educate the public on prevention. This can be achieved through media campaigns, public seminars nationwide, and incorporating health education into school curriculums.
