Introduction:

Dr. Irshad Ahmad is a Professor of Surgery and the Head of the Surgical Department at Madinah Teaching Hospital (MTH) in Faisalabad. He graduated from Punjab Medical College Faisalabad in 1990 and completed his post-graduate studies at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2006.

Driven by his passion for surgery and teaching, Dr. Ahmad joined MTH as a Senior Registrar in 2007. His dedication and commitment led to his promotion to Professor and Head of the Surgical Department in 2017. With over 34 years of experience, he has performed thousands of elective and emergency surgical procedures.

Dr. Ahmad has a special interest in thyroid and laparoscopic surgery, and he has organized numerous live workshops featuring senior surgeons from Pakistan and abroad performing various surgical and laparoscopic procedures. He has published more than 10 research papers and aims to advance in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery in the future.
