Overview

The Department of Paediatric & Neonatal Surgery at Madinah Teaching Hospital, Faisalabad, established in August 2022, is a leading surgical unit dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and research of pediatric congenital disorders. The department provides advanced care for a wide range of congenital and acquired diseases, ensuring safe and effective treatment for children.

As a recognized center for pediatric surgery in Pakistan, the department also plays a key role in academic training and clinical research, contributing to medical education and the professional development of future pediatric surgeons. The unit is approved for FCPS training by CPSP.

The department is headed by Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Ch, who has more than 25 years of experience in pediatric and neonatal surgery, with over 25 national and international research publications in PMDC & HEC recognized journals.

Outpatient & Emergency Care

  • Outpatient clinics: 4 days a week (8:00 am–2:00 pm) except Wednesday & Saturday (surgery days)
  • Indoor admissions for patients requiring specialized care
  • 24/7 emergency services for pediatric and neonatal cases
