Pediatrics Department – MTH

The Pediatrics Department at Madinah Teaching Hospital, Faisalabad, is a well-equipped unit that provides complete medical care for children and newborns. The department consists of pediatric inpatient wards, a 24/7 emergency unit, Pediatric HDU, Neonatal HDU, Neonatal ICU, outpatient services, and a vaccination center.

Our team of specialists, including some of the most experienced pediatricians in Faisalabad, delivers round-the-clock care for children with both acute and chronic conditions. Daily outpatient clinics and 24/7 emergency services ensure that families have access to pediatric healthcare whenever they need it.

The department manages all types of neonatal and pediatric emergencies, such as:

• Meningitis
• Status epilepticus
• Severe bronchopneumonia
• Cardiac and respiratory failure
• Severe asthma attacks

The Neonatal ICU is equipped with both invasive and non-invasive ventilator support for premature babies and neonates with respiratory complications.

We also provide diagnostic and therapeutic facilities for childhood illnesses, including:

• Kidney and urinary disorders
• Nutritional deficiencies
• Pediatric heart diseases
• Short stature and growth problems
• Malabsorptive disorders
• Endocrine disorders in children up to 16 years of age

Academic & Research Activities

In addition to clinical care, the department actively participates in academic and research activities. Faculty and residents are regularly involved in seminars, conferences, workshops, and national and international research presentations.

The Pediatrics Department at Madinah Teaching Hospital is accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) for postgraduate fellowship (FCPS) training. Over the past six years, several fellows have completed their FCPS in pediatrics here.
